Lab Co-PIs Genevieve LeBaron and Jessie Brunner Attend Global Labor Institute Conference

Lab Co-PIs Jessie Brunner and Genevieve LeBaron recently attended the 2025 Global Labor Institute Conference More TLC? Trade-Labor Connections in the New Global Order in New York City. Hosted by Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, the event brought together researchers and policymakers to examine the state of labour standards and work in the new era of global trade.

Additionally, Jessie Brunner attended a meeting convened by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Human Trafficking Research Initiative (HTRI) at Innovations for Poverty Action, hosted by NYU’s Marron Institute of Urban Management. The convening gathered researchers to examine effective interventions in human trafficking and forced labour, along with evaluation approaches needed to strengthen the evidence base. Research priorities identified during the discussions will be published next year.
